Film Swap // Double exposure // Mystery art
I came across this fun little project on a photographer's blog the other day and I think it might be interesting to try. Anyone interested? I love the idea of it as an easy and fun fall project. I have lots of old rolls of film in my fridge:))

Ode Fall 2012 // Fall is in the air
Posted on: Monday, August 27, 2012
I was totally excited to try Kristin Kelly's (Ode's owner + head stylist / buyer) genius idea of using a TRAMPOLINE as a way to add some fun movement into our shoot. I ran out to Dick's Sporting Goods and got a mini one, stuffed it in my car, and on my way out grabbed some cat tails from swamp in the Target parking lot as a prop. Perfect!
Well, it turns out jumping on a trampoline in heels is hard and it hurts your ankles. We love Kate and didn't want her to be uncomfortable, so here she is in all her barefoot glory! Jenessa Cintron did a beautiful and dramatic smokey eye and dark lip on Kate to help bring in the feeling of Fall. I'm just about done wrapping this look book up and I'm super excited for Kristin and Ode to share it with you all. That cool air is already creeping in at night and it's just about time for back to school and apple picking in the orchards...

Arielle + Jesse // Ashfield Summer Wedding // sneak peek

Up next: This Austin couple came back to their hometown for their super awesome and whimsical wedding. Kazoos, wild butterflies, vintage painted cowboy boots, shocking toasts..it was one for the books. All at one of my FAVORITE local wedding venues, The Curtis House. The cupcakes were so good I had to lay down after I ate one. Best cupcake of my life. My partner for the this wedding was the charming and talented Manuel Vazquez Lopez. Manuel's specialty is food, product, and still life photography so this shoot was filled with amazing stills from him.
Alys + Ian // Garden Party // Dressed to the Nines
Alys and Ian decided to have a garden party instead of a formal wedding...a BIG PARTY where everyone dressed up and drank delicious cocktails, and danced to throwback music. With a candy theme and big white tent that looked like something from the Great Gatsby, Alys and Ian had an amazing party under the stars of old Baltimore. I also have to mention that Alys designed her own wedding dress...girl's got some serious hidden talents that she needs to explore more! It was quite literally the most stunning dress I have ever seen.
While Braden was down in Baltimore having a great time, I was back North with Miles so I had the talented Anna Daniele second shoot with Braden in my place. I'm super choosey about who I pick as a second shooter...they have to blend with my style, yet be different enough to surprise and delight me with their images, AND be fun to hang out with for hours at a time. It's a tall order. Needless to say she did a fabulous job and we both just adore Anna and her work. Thank you Anna, you are so talented.
