Her pictures strike a sentimental chord in me... They remind me of when I was a teenager and my cat Princess Blackpaw was the only person in the world who truly understood me.
20 years later it's my dog Boris who has taken over the position...which brings me to the fact that I have hardly any pictures of my fantastic frenchie on this blog. the next post will remedy that.
What strange relationships we have with our animals...

Detail shot of Badgley Mischka wedding gown...

New Inspiration: Christopher Wilson

Seriously AMAZING work. I love the golden yellow color cast on all his work as well as the subject matter. I'd really like to try shooting a wedding or doing some portraits in his style. Anyone up for being photographed? Here's a link to more of his inspiring photographs :

Another snowy day round these parts...
The water this morning was so smooth and silvery.

Has anyone out there read the book "The Snowy Day"? It was totally running through my mind as I was clicking away....

Happy Festivus everybody.....

Channeling a mixture Norman Rockwell wholesomeness and Wyeth lighting with this one....too bad the dogs butts are facing the camera (had to crop them out!)
The light was amazing.

TOAST

I can't stop looking and obsessing. I love the girl with the short dark hair! I want her haircut.
It has that Anthropologie feel, but the clothing is more...earthy + practical? Less foo-foo? Does that make sense? It's been a while since I found an inspiring catalog, but this one has just made my year. The way they cut from master shots to detail shots of the products is beautifully executed and the layout and design of the catalog is topnotch. Here's some treats: feast your eyes!!

Cranston tree farm...

Hands down the best tree farm I've ever been to. The trees are slender, dense, and the needles smell AMAZING! I'm actually looking forward to the big snowstorm that's supposed to be coming our way tonight...stringing lights and keeping warm by our little fire...

Baby it's cold outside...

I lay in bed looking out my window this morning and there were the most beautiful ice formations on my upper window in the shape of a perfect arc. Just looking at them made me appreciate the coziness of my bed even more than I normally do. Some of them looked like long feathers or fern fronds...

Catherine Memmi candles.....

I've finally chosen a scent for our new house! I love flowery scents, just not for my house...so this one sounds perfect.

Thé
Candle

The Scoop
The warm, full-bodied aroma of a cup of our favorite spiced tea. Rich and welcoming. This brown candle comes in frosted brown glass for an ultra-chic contemporary feel.

So my 2.5 year old son is definantly growing out of the baby nursery and I need to make him room a little more "big boy, toddler cool". I think im going to do like 9 of these prints on one of his big walls in a grid...becasue he loves to talk about animals and the noises they make. And I LOVE THEM. SO after he has moved onto, oh i don't know, car and sports posters, I can hang them up in the kitchen or something. Aren't theses goats so funny? I smile at them every time I look at them.
