No rest for the wicked...

Posted on: Tuesday, August 31, 2010

That would be us. We have been soooo lucky to be swamped in work lately...I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. I personally feel like I am glowing with work happiness. Weird right? Not many people get to say that.
A Spring Look Book for Tiny Crush, an editorial piece for Madison + Grow, portrait sessions, engagement sessions, and location scouts...all in the last two weeks! One of my favorite couples we've had the pleasure of meeting, Elizabeth and Chris (image above), made some amazing photo magic with us two weeks ago and we are almost ready to reveal their knock out session. And, oh my god wait to you get a glimpse of Joaquin and Corina, our newest clients. We feel really, really blessed to work with such creatively open and fun clients!

and now it's FALL...

It must be. My neighbors all have pumpkins and mums lining their stoops and porches already. So here's a little farewell to this summer...snippets from our summer follies...
oh, this might take a minute to load...go get a beverage.

Secret Garden...

We've been on vacation visiting my hometown of Downingtown Pa., and I was so thrilled that we got the chance to get to photograph these three girls. Their mom and I used to go to girl scouts together when were like 10 years old! See, facebook is good for some things :)
We invited them over and just had them run around my mothers lush, beautifully overgrown front garden. So gorgeous!
We will be coming back down to do fall sessions when the leaves turn, so if anyone in area wishes to have something similar done, just send us an email.

Bound and lovely...

After much debating we have FINALLY decided on an album vendor to work with on our wedding albums. These are just a few samples below showcasing some of their amazing craftsmanship, design, and quality. I fell in love with company when I saw that they used couples names from LOST as their sample books..(SUN + JIN, PENNY + DESMOND). Good taste people, we like how you think!

Welcome to the world baby Grayson! He is a Leo, like me. Isn't he a peach? Apparently ladies, if you wish to have your baby, invite me over for a pregnancy session and shortly after you'll be holding you new babe in your arms. Congratulations Kristin and Gabriel on your beautiful baby boy!

Love notes...

I am totally into graphics and handwriting and am pleased to offer the first of several to come artists we plan on collaborating with. Things are in the works for having Mara from Neither Snow do some of her fabulous handwriting over our photographs. We're thinking "Save the Date" scrolled across our engagement session pictures or "We're getting married!" scrolled across the sky in our images. Or what about adding some text to your wedding album? So many possibilities we can come up with for you. We just love her handwriting and think it would blend seamlessly with our photographic style. To see more of her amazing work go here:

Sneak peek at one of the new Tiny Crush dresses for the 2011 Spring/Summer collection! Our model Bri looks AMAZING in this highly structured and paneled candy colored dress. Perfect for summer cocktails on a rooftop bar or at the backyard bbq down the street.
Special thanks to Jaimie Potter for hair styling and Bri for always looking spectacular and being fun to work with.

English roses...

These London girls were sooo much fun to photograph! Our third collaboration with designer Dre Rawlings of Tiny Crush Society turned out to be a challenge, but I couldn't be happier with how it turned out.
We were originally supposed to be shooting outdoors in this old, dark, gangster car from the 40's, but it rained and the car's owner didn't bring it in. Luckily he had a storage space full of other amazing cars. We all gravitated towards the 1950 mountain laurel pink Caddy. The challenge was that the storage space was totally dark except for a ghastly flourescent light on the ceiling. Look what we were able to come up with (thanks to Braden's lighting talent)...bright, dreamy, sunkissed light pouring the car. I am so thrilled! To see more of the clothing go here:

Just got this in the mail from Anthropologie...so textured and gorgeous! I must use it on our upcoming shoot with Kylie and Mukunda. Maybe they can wrap themselves up in it after they jump in the river...

Did I mention how cute my hubby is?

He's always looking around like this. They say you should look up more right?

Bucksteep scout for Stephanie + Martin

Posted on: Tuesday, May 25, 2010

Pictures above are from our scout of Bucksteep Manor located in Washington Ma. Our clients Stephanie and Martin will be getting married there shortly and I really wanted to check the place out ahead of time to figure out some sweet spots that I could photograph them in. Set on top of a mountain ridge, surrounded by state forests, this gorgeous place is chock full of beautiful images waiting to be made. It has a bonfire circle, a huge old barn with old stone hearth fireplaces, old stone ruins in the middle of a velvety, grassy meadow, little red cabins in a birch forest, a campy pool and tennis courts, and a really special old stone chapel that looks like it's been torn out the pages of an English fairytale. So romantic. The location is amazing in itself, but when you add Stephanie and Martin all glammed up to it...it will be nothing short of fabulous. Can't wait!!
