FALLing in love...shooting with Ode for their Fall LOOK BOOK
Posted on: Friday, August 26, 2011
A few snippets from our latest shoot with Kristin Kelly of Ode in Northampton...
All props from Sticks and Bricks in Northampton + Jenessa Cintron on the make-up (she did this beautiful soft chestnut colored eye on Bridgette). I can't express just how much Jenessa's make-up artistry adds to all the images. Kristin K. did ALL of the styling + basically everything else... Outfits, location, model + hair ALL Kristin...she makes everything and everyone look amazing.
Bridgette blew our minds..how gorgeous is she! Loved how she just sort of knew what to do pose wise + I found her to be just a super cool, totally genuine person to be around and work with. She is just plain FANTASTIC.
Kristin has LOTS of new cozy fall items in...new Frye boots, cashmere wraps and ponchos, and a bunch of new super affordable awesome jewelry to name a few. She is also launching her new ODE blog very soon and that will have the full look book on it as well as lots of other goodness!
I always feel that with each shoot I get to do with Ode I come out of shoot being a better photographer. I love working with all the luxurious fabrics, leather and gems she has prepared for each shoot. The merchandise is just a beautiful + high quality to begin with so my job is just to represent just how nice it actually is which I love. In my experience the thing that I loathe the most is trying to make crappy merchandise look more expensive and higher quality than it actually is. I don't have to worry about that with Ode's merchandise. It just feels more honest to me, which makes me feel good.
Everyone's love for what they do + dedication putting together something that's beautiful really shows through.
Felt like fall today...

Breezy + cool with a glorious high of 73 degrees today folks...
Do you remember back in high school when they made you take the 1/2 hour career quiz that determined whether you would be an engineer, work in waste management, or be a lawyer? My quiz revealed that I would be a weather reporter...
