Bucksteep scout for Stephanie + Martin

Posted on: Tuesday, May 25, 2010

Pictures above are from our scout of Bucksteep Manor located in Washington Ma. Our clients Stephanie and Martin will be getting married there shortly and I really wanted to check the place out ahead of time to figure out some sweet spots that I could photograph them in. Set on top of a mountain ridge, surrounded by state forests, this gorgeous place is chock full of beautiful images waiting to be made. It has a bonfire circle, a huge old barn with old stone hearth fireplaces, old stone ruins in the middle of a velvety, grassy meadow, little red cabins in a birch forest, a campy pool and tennis courts, and a really special old stone chapel that looks like it's been torn out the pages of an English fairytale. So romantic. The location is amazing in itself, but when you add Stephanie and Martin all glammed up to it...it will be nothing short of fabulous. Can't wait!!

Tiny Crush Society trunk show : no boys allowed

Posted on: Sunday, May 23, 2010

Hosted at an amazing modern home in NOHO, Dre Rawling's most recent trunk show provided another interesting and unique venue for ladies to get dressed up, have some champagne, and shop her latest line of clothing. Besides the clean, modern aesthetic, the thing that stands out most about her clothing to me is the well designed structure of the garments. Virtually any age range can find something they look great in.

Mattias Montero, the director of photography, makes her mazing videos. You have to go the site below and check out the other video he did for her called " I'm good, I'm gone". He's responsible for lots of music videos that I love for the visuals.

Lost and found...

Moon frost glitters in the field.

Favorite oldie portrait....

Taken by William in a friend's East Village apartment. Photographer's always take pictures of each other...and this is one I have always liked. I do remember that cozy velvet chair and Gerrit blaring Dot Allison on the stereo.

Beautiful windows...

Greenfield is changing and a much of the cool distressed facade of the town is getting a face lift. I recently heard that the silverware factory has new owners and I hope they realize they don't decide to trash these windows. But if they do at least I have a picture of it. I think these should be made into an art installation somewhere in the town.....Or better yet when I am rich and famous we just put them in bedroom of my industrial penthouse loft.

Wrapped in gold...

Janel + Caiden at the lake. Kinda makes me want another one.

More cute bearded men...

Meet Brooklyn photographer Kris Payne. Be jealous of his Death Star tattoo and his ability to drink a bottle of bourbon himself. Always a treat to have him around.
He's getting ready to drive off to Alaska where he'll be doing an artist residency within a very tiny town and giving northern light tours on the side when not snogging with eskimos (kidding) or photographing. He has a blog where he'll be documenting his new adventures. Sign up for the blog (I believe it's a pay what you feel like sort of thing) and be in on his stories of amazing travels and he'll mail you postcard or two. Who doesn't love getting mail that isn't a bill these days! Read more, become a patron of the arts, and enjoy his dreamy landscapes and portraits here:

Happy Mother's Day this weekend!

Somehow, no matter what he does to his face, he always looks like a hottie.
